Anonymous union membership

In recent days, we have received numerous inquiries regarding union membership. The most common questions concerned membership fees and the associated limited anonymity of members. We understand these concerns, and therefore, we would like to clarify this topic.

First of all, we would like to emphasize that an employer cannot dismiss anyone for being a union member.

Paying membership fees via payroll deduction is our preferred method. Firstly, our original plan was to be transparent, and secondly, given that we are spread across different cities and branches, this method of payment is administratively simpler.

However, union membership is not conditional on this method of payment. If you are interested in becoming a member and do not want your employer to know about your membership, simply do not fill in the consent for payroll deductions in the application form. In this case, it is necessary to pay the membership fees regularly (for example, via a standing order) to our account. The membership fee is 200 CZK per month.
